| Thermo's Biorepository Services can provide optional database management and inventory services to the vial level through our validated package that is configured to specific user requirements. Our validated system tracks the location of specimens and groups of specimens for clients within Thermo’s biorepository facilities. The application’s logical security consists of three tiers of password protected access levels (regular user, supervisor user and quality assurance user based on a Microsoft Windows operating platform). The quality assurance component of the application includes activity logging and function for spot-checking of data entry. Specimens are associated with clients and stored in freezer units. The freezers units can be divided into racks, shelves and box positions. Within each box, users can assign specimens to specific rows/columns coordinated with a defined matrix. The system is written in Borland’s Delphi Version 7. Data is stored on an SQL server database. |
