Location Information and Directions Winsford is situated in the heart of Chesire , a rural English county which sits between the modern metropolis of Manchester and the scenic mountains of North Wales. Despite its rural location, Winsford has excellent travel links, being 40 minutes by road from Manchester International Airport, and just 20 minutes from both Crewe Train Station and the M6 motorway. Driving Directions From ManchesterAirport(View Map) On leaving Manchester Airport [1] take the M56 Motorway West towards Chester and North Wales. At Junction 7 leave the Motorway and take the A556 South (left) towards Northwich and Chester. Cross over the M6 Motorway (at Junction 19) and continue on the A556 towards Chester. Follow the A556 for approximately 10 miles and take [2] the A533 Middlewich, A5108 Winsford (left) towards Winsford and Middlewich. Follow the signs for Winsford and at the third roundabout go straight on entering Road One of the Industrial Estate. Continue along Road One and turn left into Road Three approximately 200 yards before reaching the traffic lights. One hundred yards down Road Three turn right into Ion Path where you will find Thermo Fisher Scientific? Elemental Analysis [3] at the end of the road on the left. The total distance is approximately 21.5 miles and should take around 40 minutes.
Driving Directions from The North Leave the M6 Southbound at Junction 19 and go Right on the A556, crossing over the Motorway, towards Chester. Follow the A556 for approximately 10 miles and take the A533 Middlewich, A5108 Winsford (left) towards Winsford and Middlewich. Driving Directions from The South Leave the M6 Northbound at Junction 18 and take the A54 (Left) towards Middlewich. On reaching Middlewich continue through the town?s one way system on the A54 towards Winsford. On reaching the traffic lights at the beginning of Winsford turn Right into Road One of the Industrial Estate. After approximately 200 yards, turn Right into Road Three. 100 yards down Road Three turn Right into Ion Path where you will find Thermo Fisher Scientific? Elemental Analysis at the end of the road on the Left.
By Rail The nearest mainline rail station to Winsford is Crewe which is serviced by the main West Coast line from London, The South and The North. Local trains run between Crewe and Winsford, although collection can be arranged from Crewe by the Winsford Training Institute.
