Pre-Installation Checklist
 
 
  • All laboratory remodeling has been completed.
     
  • Your Finnigan LCQ DUO system is on site.
     
  • The entrance to the laboratory is at least 94 cm (37") wide.
     
  • The principal operator will be available during the installation period.
     
  • The workbench can support the load of the system (325 lbs) and is free from vibration.
     
  • The laboratory can be maintained at a constant temperature, between 15° and 27°C (59° and 81°F).
     
  • The relative humidity is between 40% and 80%, with no condensation.
     
  • The system work area is free from magnetic disruption and electrostatic discharge.
     
  • There is a telephone near the system.
     
  • There is a suitable exhaust system.
     
  • All relevant safety regulations are in compliance.
     
  • HPLC is new or recently cleaned, producing pulse free flow from 100-1000 micro-liters per minute.
     
  • Solvents: HPLC grade water, methanol, acetonitrile and acetic acid are available.
     
  • Sufficient bench space is available for all the equipment, please note width.
     
  • The power outlets have been measured. Please note voltages.
     
  • The power outlets are the correct configuration. Please note NEMA types.
     
  • The following gases are on-site with gas lines installed and appropriate regulators available: Nitrogen, Helium, N2 Regulator (1/4" connection, Helium Regulator (1/8" connection).
     
  • Provide full details of any special acceptance specifications that have been agreed within the contract.
     
  • Provide full details of any additional equipment that needs to be interfaced to the system.
