| Answer: The High energy peak of the Cs-137 source generates lower energy backscatter and x-rays proportional to the amount and density of adjacent material. Increased low energy radiation will eventually result in a balanced display. |

| Answer: The unit should be transported in carrying case or belt holster. The unit will handle well during normal operation. The electronics, display and housing are very rugged, and will operate well during rough handling. |
