This application note describes the analysis of low-level arsenic in waters by the US EPA method 200.9, graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry. This method is used for regulatory anaysis of drinking water and waste water in North America. The ICP method, 200.7, has been withdrawn from approval and ICP-MS can suffer from interference problems for arsenic, therefore this method is of particular use.
