 High Content Analysis Services

Services for High Content Biology and Drug Discovery

We can accelerate your entry into high throughput, high content, cell-based pathway profiling and screening for both small molecule and RNAi research and discovery.  The Thermo Scientific HCA/HCS reagent portfolio is unmatched in the industry, and our service facility provides customers with rapid, cost-effective access to high content capabilities.

As you partner in service projects, we can help you access a wide range of services and technologies with our best-in-class validated high content reagents, data acquisition, and analysis tools. Our services are scalable for your needs, and we can provide your team with strong R&D support and training.

We perform fee-for-service studies on client test compounds at our facilities in Lafayette, Colorado, where we have high content analysis systems with high throughput capabilities, and complete data analysis, report generation, and data transfer capabilities.  These studies range from small profiles to primary screens and extensive follow-up work.

Broad Range of Biology
We currently have over 180 validated HCA assays that encompass a broad range of biological pathways, cellular functionstarget classes, and therapeutic areas.  These assays can be used individually and in combination to create the data set you need.  If the biology you need is not represented in our assay portfolio, custom assay development is an option through which we can generate a solution for your needs.

Profiling Studies
Biological profiling studies are used to create broad biological information about a relatively small number of test compounds or RNAis; typically 1 – 1,000 compounds in several to tens of assays.  Profiling studies are typically performed in replicate and in concentration response to provide deeper information about the compounds studied.  We will work closely with you to design the profiling study that will be most effective for your needs.

Screening Studies
High throughput screening studies are performed on libraries of of small molecule or RNAis libraries, typically 1,000 – 300,000 compounds. Screens are typically performed in singlicate and at a single concentration, with subsequent confirmation of hits. Screens are usually followed up with more detailed profiling studies on the molecules of interest. We will work on all aspects of screen design with you, including key factors such as assay details, hit definition, and follow-up workflow.

Custom Assay Development
We perform custom development of new assays, based on both fluorescent protein and antibody/dye technologies, for targets not in our current portfolio of validated assays. Parameters such as target or phenotypic biology, host cell line, agonist vs. antagonist format, and choice of reference compounds are evaluated in collaboration with clients on a case-by-case basis.

Multiplex Assays
We can develop multiplexed assay solutions to meet your needs from our existing portfolio of reagents, or on a custom basis.

Workflow Solutions
Our services are designed and implemented with the customer workflow in mind.  This allows us to tailor studies so that elements such as the assay details, report generation, and data transfer mesh with your internal workflow in an optimal way.

Redistribution® Technology Licenses
We enable you to use Redistribution technology internally via broad licenses to our patent portfolio, as well as through purchase of our products. Please e-mail or call 1-303-604-9499 us for more information about Redistribution technology licensing.
