If SPE, LLE and PPT are acronyms in your daily vocabulary, this is the webcast for you. You know that ineffective sample extraction can result in bad data as matrix components suppress or enhance ionization. You know that sample preparation is a common bottleneck in high volume LC-MS/MS laboratories.

LC-MS/MS systems continue to attain new levels of sensitivity and detection allowing for better analysis. Many expected the issue of sample preparation to go away with the higher sensitive mass spectrometry systems. This, however, has not been the case. Eliminating ion suppression (or ion enhancement) still requires removal of the matrix components prior to MS-MS analysis.

The traditional options for sample preparation include Solid Phase Extraction, Protein Precipitation or Liquid Liquid Extraction. In the last 10 years, an online sample extraction technique using turbulent fl ow chromatography has provided a way to minimize many of the drawbacks of traditional methods. In this webcast the advantages and disadvantages of these methods will be compared to a more recent solution utilizing turbulent flow chromatography.

Who Should Attend:
  • People doing analysis with biological fluids and having trouble with sample prep
  • Directors of high throughput LC-MS/MS laboratories
  • Scientists developing the methods for the analysis of small molecules in biological fluid

Key Learning Objectives:
  • Primer of TurboFlow™ technology, columns and systems
  • Simultaneous improvements to data quality and throughput
  • Illustrations from a variety of real-world sample extraction challenges
