James has experience in molecular biology, DNA amplification platforms, systems physiology, genetics, and toxicology.

Prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, James worked as a Junior Scientist and Postdoctoral Scientist at Biohelix Corporation in Beverly, MA developing in vitro diagnostics for human pathogens using an isothermal DNA amplification chemistry.

James also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Connecticut, Department of Physiology and Neurobiology under J. Larry Renfro investigating renal transporters.
