• Marie received her doctorate in Cell and Molecular Biology from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute division at the State University of New York in Buffalo, where she specialized in mouse genetics and mouse models of human disease including cyctic fibrosis, infectious disease and cancer.
• Prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Marie completed two postdoctoral positions at the University of California in San Francisco; most recently, working with Rosemary Akhurst and Alan Balmain to identify the role of novel transforming growth factor beta modifier regions on tumorigenesis and the tumor microenvironment.  
• Just prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Marie was honored as a selected speaker at the AACR Mouse models of Cancer Special Conference in January 2009.
