Products are available through a network of national and international distributors or directly from Thermo Fisher Scientific. Orders placed with us are entered immediately, assuring customers of same day shipping for most domestic orders.

Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to  4:30 p.mEastern Standard Time. Orders may be placed by FAX 24 hours a day. Orders placed after 2:00 p.m.  Eastern Standard Time will ship the next business day.

Ordering instructions
For faster service when placing an orderplease have the following information ready:

  1. Thermo Fisher Scientific Customer Number / Account #
  2. Purchase Order Number
  3. Product Catalog Number
  4. Product Description
  5. Quantity
If a written purchase order is to follow a telephone order, please clearly indicate on the hard copy “Confirmation only. Do not duplicate order. Products distributed by Thermo Fisher Scientific that are classified as Dangerous Goods (aka Hazardous Materials) under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations incur additional shipping costs as billed to us by our freight carriers. There will be a hazardous material handling charge added to orders placed for these products. Products classified as hazardous materials are noted in the catalog by the presence of the H symbol. In order to receive maximum benefit from shipments containing hazardous materials, please consider consolidating your orders of these products so as to minimize additional handling charges.

Standing orders To simplify the process of placing repetitive orders for the same product, standing orders may be placed. Indicate the desired quantity of product and shipment schedule when placing a standing order.

Payment
Terms of sale are Net 30 days from date of invoice.

Delivery information
Routinely, orders received by 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time are shipped FOB, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the same day they are received. Orders are usually delivered within two working days. Overnight delivery may be requested by the customer at an additional cost. Please contact Thermo Fisher Scientific Customer Service for details on delivery costs.

Product safety information
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS sheets) for each product are upon request. These MSDS sheets will be sent to you under separate cover. Products distributed by Thermo Fisher Scientific are intended to be used by qualified laboratory personnel employing general laboratory precautions. The individual user is responsible for adopting proper safety, handling and disposal procedures.

Return policy
  1. Products distributed by Thermo Fisher Scientific are guaranteed to perform in accordance with their labeling specifications during the course of their shelf life when used as indicated. Prior authorization must obtained from Thermo Fisher Scientific in order to receive credit for product return. Unauthorized returns will not be honored for credit purposes.
  2. Any item delivered due to a mistake on the part of the buyer is not considered suitable for authorized return. This includes instances of overstocking or discontinuance of use of the product.
  3. Thermo Fisher Scientific will not assume credit responsibility for any products held over 45 days.
  4. Any discrepancies in the quantities of products delivered must be reported to Thermo Fisher Scientific in writing within 72 hours of product receipt.
Damaged shipment policy
If goods are damaged during delivery, please make a notation of the damage on your freight bill and notify Thermo Fisher Scientific at 800-558-9115 within 72 hours. Failure to report your claim may result in loss of credit for damaged goods.
