Experience WDS precision with EDS ease and unprecedented speed with the new Thermo Scientific MagnaRay WDS Spectrometer. The MagnaRay is fully integrated with the NORAN System 7, making operation virtually transparent to the operator. Automatic confirmation of EDS peak identification using WDS and automatic alignment greatly simplifies operation, enhances throughput and provides exceptional elemental identification.
Our MicroXR microbeam XRF systemis the only XRF tool that enables you to measure the thickness quality of the complex metallic structures and can be finely tuned for each specific coating/deposition application produced in my fabrication line.

We lead the industry in developing instruments that bring spectroscopic techniques to micron-sized features. EDS and WDS instruments enable new levels of materials characterization with X-ray microanalysis on electron microscopes, microbeam XRF systems characterization thin film stacks, and Raman microscopy brings molecular spectroscopy to micron-sized features.
Noran System 7
The NORAN System 7 X-ray Microanalysis system will change the way you use X-ray microanalysis. The system features the ability to process 1,000,000 x-rays per second and utilizes Direct-to-Phase software which simultaneously acquires and analyzes Spectral Imaging data.
Increase your SEM Lab Efficiency With Direct-To-Phase
Do you take too much time analyzing your element maps?
Join us for the free Webinar which will be held on Wednesday, December 16th.
Spectral imaging EDS data contains a wealth of information about the elemental distributions within the analyzed sample. Many data sets contain so much information that EDS expert analysis is required to extract and interpret the results. Multivariate statistical analysis (MSA) is a method that analyzes the whole spectral imaging data set with no user input or bias. MSA is the most reliable method to interpret complex spectral imaging data sets.
Thermo Scientific COMPASS software uses the power of MSA to take EDS data collection and analysis beyond traditional mapping. Recently patented technology now enables the powerful technique of COMPASS to be applied DURING the spectral imaging data acquisition to produce compound or phase results in real time: Direct-To-Phase (DTP).
This Webinar will describe the basic methodology of DTP and perform live EDS spectral imaging acquisitions using DTP.
