Our Nuclear Instrumentation Systems are highly reliable. The Neutron Flux Monitoring System allows plants to replace failure-proned, short-lived detectors with a single 40 year design life fission chamber detector for Source, Intermediate, Power Range and Post-Accident Monitoring applications.

The Thermo Fisher Scientific San Diego facility recently completed production and satisfactory factory acceptance testing on a new control console for a university research reactor. The Thermo Scientific control console and safety system provides all of the required neutron flux monitoring systems, reactor control and alarm subsystems, magnet power supply and scram logic assembly (reactor protection system), and rod control system.
