Attend one of our free one-day user meetings to learn more about the latest developments in LC/MS methods for metabolomics, structural characterization and bioanalysis. The day will feature presentations from industry leaders and will include two interactive workshops with application experts for users of ion trap and triple quadrupole systems.

Metabolomics
An important of the evaluation of new drug candidates is a study of the rates and routes of metabolism. Current methodologies typically utilize LC/MS and LC/MS/MS, but this often insufficient to locate unequivocally the metabolism site on a candidate molecule. Multi-stage MS fragmentation affords data that allow metabolite identification with greater specificity. MS3 and MS4 scans can be routinely accessed during automated Data-Dependent experiments as the mass spectrometer makes real-time decisions about which experiment to perform based on the spectrum just acquired. These metabolism solutions offer speed, sensitivity and superior spectral quality to better characterize biotransformation pathways.

Structural Characterization
Structural elucidation has always had the potential to become a bottleneck in the handling of MSn data due to the complexities involved. Previously, great expertise in chemistry and mass spectrometry were required to manually evaluate mass spectra and use them to identify the structures of unknown compounds. Nowadays, software tools such as Mass Frontier™ can speed-up this process by simplifying the data processing and minimizing the need for expertise in the area of fragment ion prediction of potential structures.

Bionalaysis
Matrix effects and ion suppression can have considerable impact in these studies but with TurboFlow™ technology you can minimize sample preparation and directly inject biological samples into the LC-MS/MS system prior to analysis, a significant advantage in preclinical bioanalysis, where extensive sample preparation is too time consuming due to the high sample loads. Combine this with the Thermo Scientific TSQ Quantum™ triple quadrupole mass spectrometer operating with FAIMS (High-Field Asymmetric Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry) to achieve a unique LC-MS/MS solution delivering fast and efficient quantitative results.

Discover the power of triple quadrupole sensitivity, linear ion trap specificity and Orbitrap or FT-ICR mass accuracy and resolution to answer important analytical questions. Sign up today…
