 Thermo Announces Major Laboratory Informatics Conference

Philadelphia, PA, (August 25, 2006): Thermo Electron Corporation, world leader in analytical instrumentation and informatics, has scheduled its annual software user group meeting and laboratory informatics conference. Thermo Informatics World (TIW) 2006 North America, will take place October 23-27, 2006, at the San Diego Sheraton in San Diego, California. TIW Europe will be held November 6-10, 2006, at the Hotel InterContinental in Prague, Czech Republic. The conference theme – The Path Forward – focuses on how the right informatics strategies and solutions can alleviate pressures on industries by helping them to work more efficiently.

In both North America and Europe, TIW provides conference attendees – Laboratory Scientists, Lab Managers, Information Technology/Systems Managers and Operations Executives from all industries – the opportunity to meet and discuss issues and trends concerning laboratory informatics, evolving technologies, and changing market requirements. The program for 2006 features compelling customer presentations, product development discussions, user networking and learning – exploring how to take advantage of continually evolving technologies to drive improvement within laboratories and businesses.

This annual user conference also provides a chance to share industry perspectives and changing business requirements that drive the enhancements necessary in informatics solutions. Thermo continues its tradition of customer involvement at TIW by hosting product breakout sessions including customer presentations.

   

Additionally, Thermo’s expert trainers have organized a training program and education service to ensure that customers obtain the most value from their investment. The courses are conveniently scheduled at TIW, pre- and post-conference.

TIW brings together users of Thermo’s enterprise LIMS solutions for industrial labs, purpose-built LIMS and analytical databases for pharmaceutical applications, chromatography data system serving multiple industries, and spectroscopy software.
