The Thermo Scientific HERAcell 150 incubator comes with a stainless steel or a fungicidal/bactericidal solid copper interior, and the acclaimed ContraCon 90™ decontamination routine for unsurpassed contamination prevention, even against mycoplasma. ContraCon gives the convenience of a thermal decontamination routine that does not require the removal and re-fitting of any sensors or shelves. The HERAcell 150 tri-gas provides a safe, stable, precisely-controlled hypoxic or hyperoxic cell culture environment with the proven contamination control and convenience offered by ContraCon

Superior Contamination Prevention
We lead the market in pioneering innovations that reduce incubator contamination. The HERAcell 150 incubator incorporates:
  • The ContraCon 90™ automatic decontamination routine, which decontaminates the entire interior and water reservoir without the need to remove sensors and fittings (in independent tests, ContraCon was proven to completely eliminate mycoplasma)

Unique O2  Control with Auto-Cal
Two O2  control ranges precisely control oxygen concentration for applications requiring decreased or increased O2 conditions.

  • 1 - 21% O2 or 5 - 90% O2
  • Accurate, maintenance-free zirconium sensor is automatically calibrated by integral Auto-Cal system for long-term stability
  • Sensor is left in place during ContraCon decontamination

TC or New IR CO2 Sensor Option
Choose the standard thermal conductivity (TC) sensor with accurate gas sensor technology, or select the optional infrared (IR) sensor with exclusive split-beam technology – the perfect sensor for precise CO2 control in fluctuating temperature and humidity conditions.

  • Auto-zero self-calibration for long-term stability and more constant pH
  • TCD and IR Sensors remain in place during ContraCon decontamination

Rapid Humidity Recovery
Fast humidity recovery times prevent cultures from drying out – a vital feature when the door is opened frequently or low media volumes are used.

  • Large, directly-heated water reservoir
  • Recovery times are up to five times faster than those of incubators with conventional water pans
  • Water level alarm with audible and visual alerts
