The Jouan VXE PowerFREEZE™ range of –86°C upright freezers uses contact freezing for the shortest possible cooling time and ultimate temperature stability. Samples are stored on shelves that are in direct contact with the cooling coils at –86°C. Its electronic controller resists interference in areas of poor electrical supply. A full racking system responds to all user needs in storage.

Choice of Capacities:
  • 12.5 - 16.1 - 19.6 – 20.8 cu.ft. (355 - 455 - 555 - 593 liters)
  • 240 - 320 - 400 – 400 cryoboxes = 24,000 - 32,000 - 40,000 – 40,000 cryotubes.
  • (Model 600 accepts wider racking from other brands).

    Optimum sample preservation: PowerFREEZE™ puts the coils with 100% of the freezing power INSIDE the chamber.

    No icing up: Very rapid cooling makes snow, not ice.

    Excellent homogeneity: Virtually the same temperature throughout the whole freezer volume.

    Supreme sample protection: Very short recovery time after door opening.

    Negligible thermal shock: Exceptionally stable sample temperature at +0.5°C.

    Limited exposure: Internal doors are insulated, maintaining sample temperature while other sections are opened.

    Advanced insulation: Polyurethane block foam, guaranteed to provide the same insulation in
    four individual cooling chambers.

    Alarm system: High temperature alarm. Audible and visual alarms built-in.

    High security: Ready to accept CO2 back-up with automatic operation in case of temperature rise inside the chamber. Optional door lock, dry contact and 12V battery to power alarm.

    Long term reliability: Condenser protected by filter. System protected by thermostat and oversized ventilation fan.

    Robust electronic control: Resists interference in areas of poor electrical supply.

    Easy to install: Only 31.5 (80 cm) wide, under 79" (199.5 cm) high; four rotating castors for all models.
    (Model 600 is 1.85", 4.7 cm wider).

    Silent operation: Just 51 dBA (50Hz models) 55dBA (60Hz models.
