Course designed to familiarize users of ARL QUANTRIS OE with the structure of the instrument. Students will learn maintenance and diagnostic techniques and how to establish and follow a maintenance schedule.
Topics include a general overview of ARL QUANTRIS optical system, CCD-technology, acquisition, Argon circuit, cooling circuits, vacuum system, interconnections, electronics, software architecture, safety, instrument status, and routine maintenance. Course also includes instruction on how to build programs and add lines in WinOE software specifically for ARL QUANTRIS, system and instrument configuration and how to use ARL QUANTRIS-Viewer, store spectra and backup. Principles of calibration are treated during the WinOE software course.
