An endwindow GM detector is utilized to supply excellent sensitivity. The detector can easily be detached from the instrument, if desired, to probe areas too tight to accommodate the entire instrument or to more ergonomically position the meter for viewing while performing measurements.
A “Check Mode” permits users to view operational parameters such as the alarm limit, battery status, high voltage and response time settings. The instrument may be connected to a PC where an optional Thermo Scientific Windows-based interface program may be utilized to configure the instrument to best suit the specific application criteria or individual preferences. Once loaded into the instrument’s memory, the configuration cannot be changed either accidentally or deliberately by the operator.
