NITON XLi / XLp 300 Series Lead Analyzer

NITON XLi / XLp 300 Series Lead Analyzer

Designed for rapid on-site testing of lead-based paint, lead in soil, lead dust and airborne lead.

   Product Detail

Rugged & Highly Portable
  • Monitor all aspects of lead exposure on-site (paint, dust, soil and airborne lead)
  • One piece unit weighs only 1.7 lbs. for the XLi and3.0 lbs. (1.4kg) for the XLp including the battery pack
  • Integrated touch-screen display with advanced and intuitive user interface
  • Rechargeable battery packs provide 10-14 hours of continuous operation (maximum depends on duty cycle)
  • High-strength, rugged, environmentally sealed housing
  • Optional BlueTooth wireless connection

Versatile & Easy to Use
  • Simple point and shoot operation
  • Integrated barcode scanner and virtual keypad for fast, easy data entry
  • Remote operation and custom report generator capability from a WindowsTM-based PC
  • Non-destructive analysis allows samples to be reanalyzed and confirmed at laboratory
  • Standard paint testing mode and optional lead dust, airborne-lead and lead-in-soil testing modes
  • Benchtop docking station to facilitate fixed-site or trailer use
  • Upgradeable to an XLi / XLp 700 Series multi-element analyzer
Fast & Powerful
  • Results in as little as one second
  • Precision-based test mode for demanding lead-paint analysis applications
  • Results are continuously displayed and updated
  • Complies with instrument specifications for both NIOSH Method 7702 and OSHA OSA 1 for airborne-lead monitoring and US EPA Method 6200 for lead-in-soil screening

Life-Time Performance and Economy
  • High performance Cadmium-109 (109Cd) source retains potency 71% longer than cobalt-57 (57Co) used in other XRF lead paint analyzers
  • Will not slow down over time as quickly (see chart below)
  • Fast results and less frequent source replacements

A 5-second Positive/Negative determination for a NITON XLp 300 Series with a new 109 Cd source will take 9 seconds when the XLp 300 Series' source is one year old, and 15 seconds when the source is two years old. In comparison, a 5-second Positive/Negative determination for a typical XRF lead paint analyzer using a new 57 Co source will take 13 seconds when the source is one year old, and 34 seconds when the source is two years old. A typical cobalt-source lead paint analyzer with a two-year-old source will take more than a minute to make many Positive/Negative determinations, with a maximum time of several minutes or more.
