  Gas Tight Syringes


The Thermo Fisher Scientific range of gas tight syringes feature a replaceable Teflon® tip plunger, making them ideal for use with liquid or gas samples.  Gas tight syringes are also available for use with Thermo Fisher Scientific and other manufacturer's autosamplers.

Syringe Selection:

  • Zero dead volume syringes ? 0.5 µL and 1 µL
  • Standard plungers ? 5 µL to 500 µL
  • Gas tight plungers ? 10 µL to 1 mL
  • Fixed needles ? 5 µL to 1 mL
  • Removable needles ? 5 µL to 1

  • Teflon® PFTE tip replaceable plunger - to give gas tight seal
  • Borosilicate Glass - inert to GC solvents and organics
  • Stainless Steel - inert and non-reactive
  • Industry Standard Size - consistent syringe fit
  • Permanent Scale Markings - solvents won’t wash off the markings
  • White Scale Backing - easy-to-read improves reproducibility

Syringe Specifications

Temperature Limits:

  • 5– 115°C for removable needle syringes
  • 5– 70°C for fixed needle syringes

Volume Specifications:

  • Accuracy ±1%
  • Reproducibility (displaced volume) ±1%
  • Maximum Safe Working Pressure: 5 µL to 100 µL – 1000 psi; 250 µL and 500 µL – 500 psi; 1 mL to 5 mL – 400 psi;
  • Maximum Functional Pressure: 100 psi

  • Gas tight plunger tips – PTFE
  • Glass – borosilicate
  • Metal flanges – stainless steel; nickel plated brass
