  Graphite Ferrules


Ferrules form a seal around your capillary GC column.  Graphite ferrules can be used up to 450 °C but are permeable to oxygen and therefore not suitable for GC/MS. 

The graphite ferrule for Thermo Fisher Scientific instruments consists of a stainless steel shell with the soft graphite material inside, which can be compressed to create an excellent seal with the column.
