The DFS is a high resolution magnetic sector mass spectrometer like none before. It is the highest performance MS ever built for target compound analysis, and the first completely new double focusing instrument of its classin more than 15 years.

The DFS has all the best performance of a magnetic sector MS, but it does neither look nor feel like one.
