Continuous Particulate TEOM Monitor, Series 1400ab
The time resolution of the Series 1400ab Monitor allows users to identify episodes and determine trends in real time. When used in conjunction with meteorological data or information from gasous criterial pollutant analyzers, the instrument can provide vital information in the study of human health effects.
Product Detail
The TEOM Series 1400ab Ambient Particulate Monitor combines a powerful set of features that put it in a class of its own. Measured in terms of annual sales, it has achieved the status of being the world's best-selling USEPA-approved PM-10 continuous ambient particulate monitor. It is used by air monitoring organizations, industry and research organizations worldwide to measure ambient particulate concentration continuously.
Other applications of time-sensitive data include source identification and control, short-term compliance monitoring, emergency response, forensic investigations and numerical modeling.
Key Features:
Direct measurement of particulate mass collected on a filter using Thermo Scientific tapered element oscillating microbalance (TEOM) technology.
Unsurpassed precison, mass and time resolution. Mass concentration data reported in micrograms per cubic meter at standard averaging times of 10 min, 30 min, 1, 8, and 24 hours.
Direct audit and calibration procedures of mass measurement and systems using NIST-traceable standards.
Available with a choice of sample inlets for PM-10, PM-2.5, PM-1 or TSP monitoring.
Exposed collection filters can be analyzed for heavy metals using standard laboratory techniques such as AA and ICP.
Conditional sampling by time, particulate concentration, meteorological inputs or other variables using the optional ACCU System.
Active volumetric flow control maintains a constant volumetric flow rate by incorporating ambient pressure and temperature sensors.
Industry-leading input/output capabilities:
Menu-driven user interface
Seven analog input channels for receiving external data with conversion to engineering units.
Vector-based averaging for wind speed and direction.
Internal data logging of system and external information.
Three user-defined analog output channels and two contact closure alarm circuits.
Advanced RS232 support for the retrieval of current and logged information.
Complete Outdoor Enclosure provides flexible siting capabilities with air conditioning for summer conditions and heating for the wintertime.
Certifications and Approvals:
U.S. EPA certification EQPM-1090-079 for continuous PM-10 particulate monitoring, and is a USEPA-recognized correlated acceptable continuous monitor for continuous PM-2.5 measurements. TEOM instrumentation also has German TUV approval for TSP and PM-10 measurements.
ETL (UL- and CSA-equivalent) approval, CE designation.
