HyperSep? SCX Strong Cation Exchanger is a strong cation exchanger which can be primarily used for the extraction of basic drugs. HyperSep SCX is manufactured using a trifunctional benzene sulphonic acid. The presence of the benzene ring means that HyperSep SCX can be used for non-polar interactions. This is due to the unequal distribution of electrons in the benzene ring. This dual mechanism of interaction is useful for analytes with both cationic and non-polar character.
