What makes our gauge unique is that it measures the edge profile and centerline thickness of cold rolled strip using just two sources. The system's geometry provides thickness data across the full strip and a redundant centerline measurement using multiple detector array elements and the signal both sources.
The edge measurement allows you to adjust mill parameters to achieve flatter edges of your strip. You can then position edge trimmers at the point where the edge profile drops maximizing yield from your mill.
Additionally, the RM 319 can be paired with the RM 405 data archiving system to record all the sheet measurements for storage and analysis. The RM 405 system has an intuitive, interactive interface which allows the user to create graphs with a time base domain, with 2D or 3D representation with selectable X, Y and Z axis. Pre-set formats can be created and stored to view data specific parameters from each coil using the same scaling. Using the pre-set feature, product reports canbe created and printed for customers or internal QA requirements.
