Fixed Angle Specular Reflectance Accessories

Each of the Thermo Scientific Fixed Angle Specular Reflectance accessories features convenient horizontal sample mounting, allowing you to easily position samples for measurement. A selection of apertures is provided to limit the size of the light patch striking the sample surface, facilitating reproducible sampling. No complicated alignment is necessary, simply insert the accessory in the Universal Sample Slide of the Solid Sample Holder accessory and begin your measurements.

Versatility with polarizers in SSH

Fixed Angle Specular Reflectance accessories can be used in conjunction with a variety of polarizers, depolarizers, and filter holders. The Solid Sample Holder accessory can accommodate multiple Universal Sample Holders allowing optical elements to be inserted both before and after the Fixed Angle Specular Reflectance accessory. For added convenience, the Universal Sample Holders use the industry standard 2” x 3” configuration.

Software for QA/QC Testing

Designed for applications where testing at specific angles is required by international standards, these accessories allow you to meet testing requirements. Add the power of VL MaterialsCalc software to simplify QA/QC testing. Custom tests can be created in the VL MaterialsCalc software to test samples against a table of values or minimum and/or maximum boundaries across an entire spectrum. Simply provide the tolerances and VL MaterialsCalc does the rest. The test results will display the high and low boundaries of the test and a text based confirmation that the material either meets or exceeds the specified limits.
