Beaucage Reagent

  Beaucage Reagent

High efficiency and rapid sulfurization kinetics make Beaucage Reagent the preferred sulfur transfer agent for reliable phosphorothioate syntheses.
   Product Detail

Beaucage Reagent (3H-1,2-Benzodithiole-3-one-1,1-dioxide) is used in the production of phosphorothioate oligonucleotides where a non-bridging phosphate-oxygen bond is replaced with a phosphate-sulfur bond in the nucleic acid backbone. This modification results in an oligo that is more resistant to enzymatic degradation.

During synthesis, Beaucage Reagent can be substituted for the standard oxidation solution to produce the phosphorothioate oligonucleotide.

Beaucage Reagent is the most commonly used reagent for sulphurization because of the fast reaction time of 30 seconds and the >96% reaction efficiency.

Flexible Packaging
Beaucage Reagent is readily soluble in acetonitrile and can be used with all automated synthesizers. The recommended concentration for use is 0.05M (1 gram/100mL). Beaucage Reagent is provided as a 1 gram package in a 100-mL silanized bottle. Larger volume or custom packaging is also available to meet specific application requirements.

Full Product Line
Our Beaucage Reagent is offered in conjunction with other high quality, high purity oligonucleotide synthesis reagents.

Quality Control
Beaucage Reagent is manufactured in an ISO 9001 registered facility. Thoroughly documented processes provide consistent product quality with minimal batch to batch variability.
