Our Owl HEP-1 Semi Dry electroblotters are sleek, low profile systems for fast, efficient transfer of proteins and nucleic acids to membranes. Our Owl HEP-1 system requires minimal amounts of buffer. The buffer contained within the blotting filter paper is sufficient for efficient transfer of molecules. The base contains a stainless steel cathode plate and the lid contains a platinum/titanium anode plate. Our HEP-1 system has a (W x L) 20 x 20 cm transfer area allowing up to 4 mini gels. Our Owl HEP-3 has a (W x L) 35 x 45 cm transfer area allowing up to 8 mini gels or a variety of larger size gels. Transfers may be done in as little as 15 minutes. This system is ideal for proteins less than 150 kd. For larger or more complex proteins our Owl VEP-2 and VEP-3 may be more applicable.
