reaches a 1093°C maximum temperature and supports loads up to 500 lbs. (226.9
kg). You have a choice of controllers, which are ordered
separately.

The Thermo Scientific Industrial Chamber Muffle Furnace is ideal for a range of appilcations, including heat treating large metal parts, annealing glass and brazing.
Heat-Up
Heat-up from ambient to 1600°F/870°C takes just 2 hours, unloaded.
High thermal-resistant insulation reduces heat-up and recovery times.
Firebrick in the base provides mechanical strength.
Silicon Carbide Hearth Plates protect the bottom heating element.
Heating elements are recessed in refractory cement for optimum heat transfer and chamber temperature uniformity.
Electrical connection requires fixed wiring (no power cord).
Safety and Convenience
Gas spring actuators help you open and close the door.
Door opens upward, keeping the hot side away from you.
For added protection, the door safety switch stops power to the heating element when you open the door.
Welded steel stand (included) ensures chamber entry is a convenient height.
Furnace modification for injection of inert gas is available upon request.
Choice of Controllers
Controllers for this furnace are sold separately. You have a choice of three controllers. Furnaces that use these three controls also use a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay.
B1: Digital single set point control with a single ramp to set point and a dwell. Single display shows actual temperature or set point.
C1: Digital programmable control with 1 stored program of 8 segments.
D1: Digital programmable control with 4 stored programs, 16 segments per program. Also includes RS-232 communications.
