Ready for your most demanding applications, the Thermo Scientific Heavy-Duty Muffle Furnace provides up to 1.5 cu. ft. (41.4 liters) capacity and reaches a temperature up to 2480°F/1360°C).

The Thermo Scientific Heavy Duty Muffle Furnace is ready for your most demaning applications, including ashing organics, heat treating tools and ties and heat treating glass.

The furnace is available in 346, 1088, 1451 cubic inches and 1.5 cu. ft. (5.7, 17.7, 23.7 and 41.4 liters) capacities to meet your requirements. For safety, the door is counter-weighted to open upwardly; the hot side is away from you.

  • Heavy-duty firebrick insulation is hard, abrasion- resistant and designed to support heavy loads.
  • Heavy-duty steel case supports the most demanding requirements.
  • Door is filled with refractory cement for long life.
  • Types F1600 and F1700 have heating elements embedded in special refractory cement for long service life and protection from harmful materials and mechanical shock.
  • Heating elements on all four chamber sides ensure maximum heat transfer and chamber uniformity.
  • Ceramic hearth is included to protect the bottom heating element.
  • Electrical connection requires fixed wiring (no power cord).

Choice of Controllers
Controllers for this furnace are sold separately. You have a choice of three. Furnaces that use any of these three controls also use a mechanical Over Temperature Protection relay.
  • B1: Digital single set point control with a single ramp to set point and a dwell. Single display shows actual temperature or set point.
  • C1: Digital programmable control with 1 stored program of 8 segments.
  • D1: Digital programmable control with 4 stored programs, 16 segments per program. Also includes RS-232 communications.
