The D 711 is for fixed installation applications. With 30+ years of an experience base, it has been continuously improved and now has all-digital control. Compared to other high yield neutron generators, the D 711 is a proven and reliable design that offers advantages in total neutron production, higher maximum neutron output and easy accelerator head installation.
The system consists of 4 main parts: the accelerator head, a control chassis, two cooling unit s and the accelerating high voltage power supply. The neutron tube is designed for a maximum yield of 2x1010 n/s; when running, the coolant system must be operating, cooling both the target and the ion source. The tube has a typical lifetime of 1,000 hours at 1x1010 n/s. To maximize the tube life, the system manual includes recommendations for setting the high voltage and beam current.
