Description
ThermoPrime Taq DNA Polymerase is an ultra-pure recombinant thermo-stable DNA polymerase obtained by high level expression of the Taq gene in Escherichia coli. With enhanced thermal stability, non-specific binding of template and primers is minimized leading to a decrease in the amount of non-specific product. Being a recombinant enzyme, it is characterized by significantly higher purity than those enzymes that are native. This higher level of purity gives superior lot-to-lot reproducibility. ThermoPrime has 5’ to 3’ Taq DNA polymerase activity as well as 5’ to 3’ strand displacement (exonuclease) activity. It also has 3’ adenylation activity.
ThermoPrime Taq DNA Polymerase is available in a Core Kit, or in a convenient Master Mix format. Master Mixes contain all the components required for PCR (with the exception of template and primers), reducing protocol steps and minimizing the risk of pipetting errors and sample contamination.
For further convenience, master mixes can also be ordered pre-aliquoted into Thermo Scientific ABgene thin-walled PCR plastic consumables. Pre-aliquoted master mixes eliminate the need to freeze/thaw individual components, making them the fastest and most reliable PCR format.
