Engineered to provide even temperature distribution and rapid heating, the Thermo Scientific Cytomat 24 provides stable, homogeneous temperature, humidity and CO2 conditions for optimal assay storage.
With a plate capacity of up to 504 standard, SBS-sized plates and temperature ranges of Ta+8°C, 4°C or 10°C to 50°C the Cytomat 24 is suitable for most incubation or cell culture applications. It can maintain a constant humidity level of 93% rH, and an atmosphere of 0 to 20% CO2. A specially designed internal water reservoir creates this stable, high level of humidity, and ventilated stackers minimize evaporation.
The Cytomat 24 has a single point of integration that creates an extremely robot-friendly design, as the robot only needs to be taught one position for plate retrieval. The small access door and Thermo Scientific Plate Shuttle™ system allow microplates to enter and exit the unit in seconds, significantly minimizing disruption to the controlled environment and virtually eliminating recovery times. Loading and unloading results in less than 0.5°C fluctuation, and the atmosphere inside the Cytomat 24 regenerates rapidly, regardless of the number of plates being retrieved. The Plate Shuttle system and access door can handle all standard microplate formats including deep-well plates.
A built in barcode reader can scan barcodes at any plate position inside the Cytomat 24. This minimizes plate movement and provides superior sample and plate tracking.
