  8 & 12 PCR Cap Strips


Thermo Scientific ABgene PCR plastics are designed and tested for optimal PCR performance. Compatible with the majority of PCR thermal cyclers available and a range of throughputs makes choosing a PCR tube or plate easy. Caps are precision molded to ensure proper sealing on all PCR strip tubes and 96-well PCR plates.

All ABgene PCR plastics are manufactured in a class 100,000 clean room environment. This type of production ensures that the products are free from particle and DNA contamination, in addition to being RNase, DNase, and endotoxin free. Part of our rigorous quality control standards includes leak testing, electrostatic pin-hole detection, material flexibility assays, and PCR simulation cycling.

Ultra Clear Cap Strips

  • Ideal for QPCR and fluorescence applications.
  • Specially formulated ultra clear polypropylene.
  • Highly polished flat cap for maximum fluorescence transmission.
  • Labeled end tabs (A - H) for strip orientation and removal.

Domed Cap strips

  • Domed cap maximizes contact with heated cycler lid.
  • Labeled end tabs for strip orientation and removal (A–H for 8-strips and 1–12 for 12-strips).

Flat Cap Strips

  • Flat surface of each cap facilitates sample labeling.
  • Labeled end tabs for strip orientation and removal (A–H for 8-strips and 1–12 for 12-strips).
