Description
Thermo-Start Taq DNA Polymerase is a chemically modified enzyme that remains completely inactive during reaction setup, to prevent non-specific amplification and primer dimer formation. This high performance hot start enzyme is now available in ReddyMix format. ReddyMix PCR buffers have an inert red dye and gel loading precipitant incorporated into the mix. The inert red dye aides in error free pipetting during setup and the precipitant allows for the competed PCR sample to be directly loaded onto an agarose gel. After thermal cycling, a sample of the reaction can be removed and loaded directly onto the gel without the additional step of adding a loading buffer. Combining the components for PCR and a gel-loading buffer into a single master mix eliminates many pre- and post- PCR set-up steps.
Gel-ready samples. ReddyMix buffers contain a red dye and precipitant, eliminating the need to add gel loading buffer to samples prior to agarose gel electrophoresis.
Easy-to-see mix. The inert red dye allows for easy sample visualization during reaction set-up.
Maximum specificity. Chemically-modified Thermo-Start Taq remains completely inactive until a 95ºC activation step, preventing non-specific amplification.
Maximum sensitivity. Thermo-Start Taq delivers efficient, specific amplification of even low copy number targets, making it ideal for applications such as single cell PCR.
High thermal stability. Proprietary buffer formulation protects Thermo-Start Taq during high temperature steps, ensuring optimal performance throughout the PCR reaction.
Advanced buffer systems. Available with a High Performance buffer for amplification of GC-rich sequences and other challenging targets.
Room temp set-up. Reactions can be set-up at room temperature without the risk of non-specific amplification.
Complete kits. All kits are available with HPLC purified dNTPs to provide all the components needed for PCR.
Simple protocol. Master Mix formats contain all the components required for PCR in a single tube reducing protocol steps and minimizing the risk of pipetting errors and sample contamination.
