Thermo Scientific's Model 450i Analyzer, catalytically converts Hydrogen Sulfide to Sulfur Dioxide and is then measured using pulsed fluorescence technology. The simultaneous measurement readings of H2S and SO2 provide reliable data capture on a constant basis.
Product Detail
Thermo Scientific's Model 450i Hydrogen Sulfide/Sulfur Dioxide analyzer provides increased detection specificity and long term stability.
Pulsed fluorescent technology is used to detect SO2 molecules that are formed by the catalytic conversion of H2S. SO2 molecules are excited by the Ultra Violet light and then decay to a lowered energy state producing a characteristic light that is measured by a photomultiplier tube. The pulsing of the UV source lamp increases the optical intensity through which greater U.V. energy throughput and lower detectable SO2 concentrations are realized. Reflective bandpass filters on the model 450i are more selective in wavelength isolation minimizing photochemical degradation.
