Secured Sample Integrity
Abgene Multisip Plugs and Abgene SmartCap Mats are made of an advanced thermoplastic elastomer that offers excellent chemical resistance and low vapor transmission rates, minimizing evaporation and water uptake in DMSO-based samples. Additionally, this elastomer ensures sealing performance will not degrade, even after hundreds of cap piercings.

Flexible Sample Access
Abgene SmartCap Mats are supplied in 96 format racked configuration, so tubes can be accessed with multichannel pipettes or automated liquid handling systems then capped, all 96 tubes at once. Subsequent sample access can be done by removing individual caps or 8 at a time with the Abgene SmartCap Tool. Alternatively, the caps can be pierced many times with robotic liquid handling needles.

Similarly, with Abgene Multisip Plugs all 96 sample tubes can be accessed at once to speed up sample throughput with robotic liquid handling systems. Designed for storage down to the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen, Abgene Multisip Plugs are available in bulk, pre-installed or pre-racked for use with the Abgene Multisip Plug Applicator which enables filling and capping of 96 tubes at once. Once sealed, each tube can be pierced by an automated liquid handling probe or needle as the Abgene Multisip Plug's V-shaped design reliably guides liquid handling needles to the same location repeatedly, and the patented resealing feature protects long term sample integrity.

Reliable Sealing
The Thermo Scientific SuperSealer enables fast, reliable sealing of storage tubes with Abgene SmartCap mats. Simply position the mat over the tubes, place the rack in the SuperSealer and close the drawer. Seals are securely applied in just a few seconds.
