The ALT/GOT reagent offers the laboratory a 50 day reconstituted stability and various kit sizes to minimize reagent wastage.
Product Detail
The ALT/GPT reagent is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Alanine Aminotransferase in serum. ALT is found primarily in the liver and kidneys. Increased levels of ALT are generally a result of liver disease associated with some degree of hepatic necrosis such as cirrhosis, carcinoma, viral or toxic hepatitis and obstructive jaundice. Slight to moderate elevations have been observed after administration of medications such as NSAIDS, antibiotics, antiepileptic drugs, statins, or opiates.
With 50 days reconstituted stability, the various kit sizes make it suitable for all laboratory needs. The reagent is suitable for manual use or on automated clinical chemistry analyzers. Applications for a wide range of automated analyzers are available on request.
