The Albumin reagent is available in various configurations and kit sizes to suit small and large laboratory needs.
Product Detail
Albumin is the most abundant protein in human plasma, representing 55 – 65% of the total protein. Albumin has a relatively small size which makes it a useful indicator of the integrity of glomerular and other membranes. Hyperalbumin is associated with dehydration while hypoalbuminemia is associated with many illnesses including, but not limited to, kidney disease, liver disease, tissue damage, and inflammation and malnutrition.
The Albumin reagent utilizes the Bromocresol Green substrate. This Reagent provides excellent stability and convenience which ensures excellent precision and correlation against existing assays. The reagent is suitable for manual use or on automated clinical chemistry analyzers. Applications for a wide range of automated analyzers are available on request.
