Urea is the major end product of protein nitrogen metabolism. Elevated levels can occur with dietary changes, diseases which impair kidney function, liver disease, congestive heart failure, diabetes, and infection.

The Urea reagent is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Urea in serum, plasma or urine.With 3 months reconstituted stability, the various kit sizes make it suitable for all laboratory needs. The reagent is suitable for manual use or on automated clinical chemistry analyzers. Applications for a wide range of automated analyzers are available on request.
