Creatinine is a non-protein nitrogenous metabolite that is cleared from the body by the kidney and is used to assess renal function. Elevated levels are observed in acute nephritis, renal failure, urinary tract obstruction, shock, dehydration, congestive heart failure and diabetes.
The Creatinine reagent is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Creatinine in human serum, plasma or urine. Applications are available for most automated chemistry analyzers.
