The Smart Orbit accessory is a high-performance diamond single-bounce ATR accessory. This accessory offers users the many advantages of diamond ATR technology including the ability to analyze hard, abrasive, or caustic materials. It uses a real Type IIA diamond for ruggedness and versatility.

Diamond also has a wide spectral range and good depth of penetration, which makes it a good choice for more common samples too. The Smart Orbit is flexible, offering multiple crystal materials, to accommodate special sampling needs including germanium, zinc selenide, silicon and AMTIR. The accessory offers flow capabilities. Its unique crystal plate design makes cleaning and swapping crystals quick and easy. The braised diamond element also allows for higher pressure to be applied which is important for very hard or difficult samples.
