The system comes with a powerful blender to break up and blend solid samples, such as food products or dry pharmaceuticals, assuring complete moisture extraction fromt he sample into solution with little or no sample preparation. The titrator has a fully automated fill and drain pumping system to minimize reagent handling. A large 720 mL vessel allows for multiple sample analysis as well as easy vessel access and cleaning. An optional water jacketed vessel is available to enhance moisture extraction in difficult samples.

When linked to an analytical balance, the Orion TURBO2 becomes a semi-automatic analyzer capable of handling a continuous throughput of samples. To accommodate a wide range of materials, a large access port in the vessel top plate permits the introduction of samples up to 28 mm (1-1/8”) in diameter.
In addition, the end-point detection electrode is built into the vessel sidewall, giving it complete protection from the movement of solids during blending. Electronic monitors and safety interlocks ensure that the user is protected from unsafe instrument operation.
The TURBO2 is an excellent way to analyze moisture in pharmaceutical, confectionery or solid samples that typically require a lot of sample preparation. Sample preparation has been a great source of error in moisture determination in pharmaceutical products such as tablets, gelcaps or caplets. The TURB02 will blend the sample, extract, and analyze the moisture in the same vessel, then print a report containing results, methods and statistics for FDA compliance.
