The Coincidentors process the bistable signals from the Wide Range and Power Range Neutron Flux Monitors. They also conatin circuits for inserting manual trip signals, bypassing single channels, monitoring non-operate conditions, and test control. The chassis is an integral part of the plant's Reactor Protection System and allows testing of the system on-line without jeopardizing safety and operations.
Product Detail
The Coincidentors process the bistable signals from the Wide Range and Power Range Neutron Flux Monitors. The Coincidentors provide indication of bistable status from all four Wide Range and all four Power Range Monitors. Majority voting logic circuits are used such that two out of the four monitors must indicate the condition before the output is passed to the plant systems. To meet single failure criteria, all logic circuits are duplicated and the outputs must match before alarms and trip signals are passed to plant systems. The Coincidentor also contains circuits for inserting manual trip signals, bypassing single channels, monitoring non-operate conditions, and test control. The chassis is an integral part of the plant's Reactor Protection System.
