The EPD Mk2+ electronic personal dosimeter is ideal for organizations, agencies, utilities, and research laboratories to monitor employee radiation dose and dose rates. Direct readout of dose equivalents Hp (10) [deep/whole body] and Hp (0.07) [shallow/skin]. Peak dose rates are stored along with the time of occurance.
The multiple diode-based detector is an advanced and well-proven design that produces a linear response over a wide energy range and includes sensitivity to X-ray, gamma, and beta particles. The Mk2+ also boasts a ruggedized battery cap and an improved display. Display and function are controlled by a single button on the front of the unit, recessed to prevent inadvertent operation. 10-year data retention without the battery.
The EPD Mk2+ Dosimeters can be utilized as part of a comprehensive integrated dosimetry management system using renowned hardware and software packages. The Dosimetry Solution package provides an all-inclusive kit for a quick-start Dosimetry system. The EPD Mk2+ can be managed using the ViewPoint Enterprise platform, webREMS and a variety of other dosimetry management systems provided by Thermo Scientific. The infrared interface has a range of up to one meter for wireless connectivity.
