FHT 770 GR Automatic Sample Changer


The FHT 770 GR is especially useful for the automatic, unattended evaluation of radioactivity on filters from aerosol samplers or dried water samples on 200 mm planchets. The alpha beta pseudo-coincidence technique  compensates for the natural aerosol activity.

FHT 770 GR is an automatic sample changer for samples up to 200 mm diameter. Alpha/beta radioactivity in samples is measured with large area proportional counters. 

Due to the very low alpha background of proportional detectors extremely low detection limits for alpha emitters, such as e.g. Plutonium or Uranium, are obtained.
Using ABPD evaluation techniques natural Radon/Thoron progeny can be effectively discriminated against artificial alpha/beta radioactivity.

For low level beta measurement an optional 50 mm lead shielding is available.

As measuring electronic a FHT 8000 with embedded PC and special electronic is used.  Comprehensive WindowsTM software is available for measurements, reports, calibration and functional test.
