Using the CCM (Cobalt Coincidence Method) technique, this monitor quickly and reliably checks large quantities of material for possible contamination. The system is ideal for refurbishing or dismantling older nuclear facilities to ascertain whether materials may be released as ordinary scrap or as waste.
Product Detail
Large quantities of material have to be checked for possible contamination during the refurbishing or dismantling process of older nuclear facilities before they can be released as ordinary scrap or waste. In many cases Cobalt 60 will be the dominant part of the nuclide vector.
Using the CCM (Cobalt Coincidence Method) technique such contaminations can be determined fast and reliably with FHT 3031.
Sensitive and spatially focused measurement of 60Co contaminations on large samples even in presence of fluctuating external 60Co radiation fields
No lead shielding necessary -- easy installation
High and steady sample throughput with roll and belt conveyors
