Organic Carbon pose a threat to the environment and mankind. Most substances, which include organic carbon, are toxic, carcinogenic, persistent and bio-accumulative. For this reason regulatory authorities imposes maxim um permissible levels of these compounds in soil and water.
The Thermo Scientific Total Organic Carbon Analyzer is reliable, versatile, economical and user friendly. The TOC 1200 incorporates analysis for both liquid and solid samples. The TOC 1200 equipped with the 96-position ELS 2100 autosampler enhances your productivity and decreases costs of analysis.
Guaranteed accuracy was established by means of:
• Complete oxidation at high elevated temperatures
• A unique correlation technique making sure that only carbon dioxide is measured
Moreover, the combination of scrubbers used, non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detection and gas filter correlation technique, results in an accurate and interference free TOC-analysis.
There are two types of detectors: one for the range of 50 ppb to 4000 ppm and the other for the range of 20 ppm to 20,000 ppm. The TOC 1200 measures TC, IC, TOC, TC-I and POC in solid and liquid samples at ppb level up to %-range. Interesting options are:the plug-and-play AOX-module and the Total Nitrogen option for simultaneous operations.
Benefits at your service:
• Accurate and interference-free data due to complete oxidation and special GFC-correlation technique
• One instrument, two results: TOC + AOX, meaning lower investment costs
• Horizontal boat injection for hassle-free operation
• High productivity resulting in lower cost-per-analysis with the coupling to the 96-position liquids autosampler
• Seamless coupling to sampling accessories
• Custom-designed Windows software for extensive data-management possibilities
Proven Applications
• Drinking water
• Industrial waste water
• Effluent streams
• High salt solutions
• Sludge, sediment and soil
• Coal
Options
• Presto & EFU for pretreatment of AOX samples regarding the column or batch method;
• ELS 2100 for automatic introduction of liquid samples
• Simultaneous Total Nitrogen (e.g. DIN 38409 part 27) and TOC determination
