The Long Pathlength Liquid Demountable Cell is often specified in EPA and ASTM methods for the analysis of hydrocarbons in water after a Freon extraction. These cells are ideal for obtaining spectra of very dilute solutions. The cell body is made of Pyrex for inertness and strength, while Teflon gaskets provide a protective layer between the cell body and window. The 32 mm stepped windows are held in place by retaining rings and thumbnuts. The cell is filled through the single 5/12 ground glass port on top of the cell. The kit comes complete with windows and is preassembled.
Applications • Allows analysis of low concentration components in IR-transmissive solvents • For EPA methods 418.1 and 413.2 and ASTM method D3921
Features • One piece assembly with integral slide mount • Cell is ready to use when received • Ultrasonically stepped windows for leakproof sampling • Windows are demountable and easy to remove for repolishing or changing • Pyrex body with tight fitting glass stopper prevents spills and solvent evaporation • Integral holder and other metal parts are made of both stainless steel and anodized aluminum • Kit includes cell holder, Pyrex cell body, two Teflon gaskets, two Teflon o-rings and choice of windows
