Designed especially for small animal dissection and veterinary surgical procedures, the Shandon AN-59 features a semi-enclosed work area to aid in fume containment. Fumes are pulled backwards and upwards, away from the user. Unit is ready for connection to the building ventilation system. The work area is well lit by twin fluorescent tubes.

Ventilation
Unit has one (1) exhaust stub-out for connection to facility ventilation.
FaucetHot / cold water faucet is supplied with a swivel spout, built-in vacuum breaker and wrist-blade handles completely plumbed.
Disposal
A 1/2 HP disposal is provided as a standard part of Order No. 10275 and No. 10285.
Plumbing
All visible plumbing parts are brass with a heavy chrome-plating finish.
Lighting
The unit features double 48" (121.9 cm) fluorescent lights housed in a single fixture.
Duplex Receptacle
A hospital-grade duplex GFCI (ground fault current interrupter) receptacle is provided on 110-120V units. This feature interrupts the electrical supply when a ground fault occurs to protect the user against electrical shock. A hospital-grade duplex receptacle is provided on 220-240V units. While this receptacle does not protect against shock, it is ready for the customer to connect it to an RCD (residual current device) which does protect against shock.
Acoustic Coating
Applied to the underside to deaden sound and to prevent condensation, the coating is applied and then sealed with silver enamel paint.
Welding
All continuous welds are made with stainless steel filler medium. All visible welds are ground smooth and regrained to match the #4 finish.
